Unlike most architects, Nuno Ladeiro started his career working on large-scale projects in the 1990s. As soon as he finished his studies at Domus Academy in Italy, he was immediately invited to be the coordinator of the Detailed Plan III, for Expo 98 under the guidance of Architect Troufa Real. Despite being very young, he coordinated this extremely complex urban project and worked with big names in the national and international architecture scene (landscape Architect Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles, designer Daciano da Costa, urban planner Fernando Nunes da Silva, painter Sá Nogueira and sculptor Fernando Conduto). This turned out to be a different path from other architects of his generation, who started with small-scale projects and grew gradually. Nuno Ladeiro started right away with large scale projects and over time he started to dedicate to interior design and industrial design for Dimensão brand. Nowadays, in partnership with Carmo Branco, he is considered an expert in the development of global architectural projects, which include architecture and interior design.
Nuno Ladeiro is the series host of an exclusive new series, demonstrating the design methods of numerous key figures on the Portuguese and international architectural scene. In a narrative told through six episodes, we will dive into the identity of some of the most distinguished professionals in the business, revealing the philosophies of work and design that build our present and shape our future. Starring: Álvaro Siza Vieira, Carlos Castanheira, Manuel Aires Mateus, Mário Martins, Vasco Vieira and Vítor Vilhena.
