New Project at Oeiras Golf

The intervention area for the design of a single-family house is located on a 1,260.00 m² plot, classified as Urban Land – Residential Area: Consolidated Areas, according to the Oeiras Municipal Master Plan (PDM). Plot no. 30 is part of the housing development known as “Casal de Cabanas”.

With the aim of respecting and preserving the established character of the development, we identified the guiding and regulatory principles of the area, based on its morphology, typology, built volumes, building heights, and prevailing alignments.

The project is based on an orthogonal volumetric composition, which supports a contemporary architectural language defined by the simplicity of materials and the use of standard construction solutions, ensuring formal consistency, ease of maintenance, and long-term durability.

The house, of T5 typology, is inspired by the principles of the Modern Movement, characterised by clean lines, functional design, large glazed openings, and white surfaces composed of clearly defined volumes.

Key features include expansive glazed areas, a shading canopy on the rooftop, and the use of HEB metal profiles outlining the edges of the roof on the first and second floors, enhancing the geometric and contemporary expression of the proposal.

The underlying concept focuses on the harmonious integration between interior and exterior spaces, promoting a strong connection between the living areas and the surrounding environment. The use of large window openings allows for ample natural light and views of the landscape, while generous balconies offer a smooth transition between indoor and outdoor areas, creating spaces for relaxation and social gatherings in the open air.
