Green House, Sintra

With a superb location and views of the Serra de Sintra and Palácio da Pena, the Green house with a gross area of 400m2 is located on a plot of 6800m2, with half of the property being a nature reserve.

The architecture is characterized by a composition of two distinct volumes, the ground floor volume in stone and the all white upper floor, in an evocation of the region’s modernity and tradition.

The ground volume will be covered with local stone and the upper volume will have white surfaces. The minimalist design interior will be clad in wood for greater thermal and aesthetic comfort.

The idea behind the project was  to create a fluid and flexible architecture, in which the form denounces its function, that is, the exterior surface reflects the interior, just as the interior provokes the definition of volumes and exterior surfaces.
