This store was, of all spaces, the one that can most easily give rise to a design shop, with an excellent location in Barcelos’ main shopping street, the “Antiga Rua Direita”, and having an art-nouveau facade of an industrial building, converted into a commercial space.
The store has a dynamic area of great exposure, followed by the reception desk and the staircase as hinges among the various offerings. The choice of materials – beech, stainless steel, non-slip plate, glass and stone – contributed to the enhancement of light as a fundamental element for the exposure of objects and the movement of people.
Well-designed lighting project enhances the details of the facade.
The store space is divided into two floors – a first floor and a mezzanine – with a monumental entrance area, whose wrought iron facade with some art-nouveau work offers an interesting aesthetic challenge. For example, comfort results from the design exposed behind the emblematic facade.
