Luxury Villa in Sintra
For several years, the owners of this exuberant house, searched for the ideal place to build the house of their dreams, which would have to be on a large plot and well located near Lisbon. Having found the coveted land of 5 thousand m2, they decided to give way to a dream of both. It was from the need to find a place to enjoy the landscape, quiet and where they could be alone and work at a distance by teleworking, that architecture, form and space became the main protagonists of this dream. The requirement imposed on architecture was the same that decided the choice of location, that the land would have to face north-south and inserted in a bucolic space. Thus, the architectural project consists of a horizontal volumetry, with a rationalist conception, an architecture inspired by the modern movement and, in particular, by the North American houses of the architect Richard Neutra. The architecture stands out for its contemporary forms, with glass surfaces that allow the entry of light and an interior/exterior relationship, in which the interior space becomes exterior with the opening of large glazing.
