Our recent architectural rehabilitation project of two ruins in the Santar\u00e9m region involves the restoration and adaptation of two highly degraded structures, with the goal of converting them into housing while preserving their historical and heritage value. At the same time, contemporary solutions were introduced to ensure functionality and comfort.<\/p>\n

The project included several essential phases:<\/p>\n

Survey and Diagnosis<\/b> – Assessment of the condition of the ruins, including structural analysis, existing materials, and identification of elements to be preserved or replaced.<\/p>\n

Ruin 1 – Tert\u00falia<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Ruin 2 – Barrac\u00e3o<\/p>\n

Program Definition<\/b> – Establishing the project objectives, such as adapting the new function of both structures for residential use.<\/p>\n

Intervention Proposal<\/b> – Tert\u00falia: \u00a0Restoration of the ruin with an extension. The white, pure volume stands out from the ruin.<\/p>\n

Intervention Proposal<\/b> – Barrac\u00e3o: \u00a0Restoration of the ruin following the same approach.<\/p>\n

Architectural Project<\/b> – Development of the rehabilitation proposal, combining traditional and modern techniques while respecting the original identity of the building and ensuring its modernity and sustainability.<\/p>\n
